1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ShieldIQ in any way, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and accept these Terms in full. If you are using ShieldIQ on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

ShieldIQ is an AI-powered cybersecurity awareness training platform designed for businesses in East Africa. Our services include:

• Interactive training modules covering phishing, passwords, social engineering, and more
• AI-driven risk assessment and personalised training recommendations
• Admin dashboards for tracking employee training progress
• Leaderboards, progress reports, and certificate generation
• Email notifications and training reminders

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

ShieldIQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShieldIQ to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the platform
• Resell or sublicense access to ShieldIQ without written permission

5. Plans & Payments

ShieldIQ offers a free plan and paid subscription tiers. For paid plans:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout
• All fees are quoted in KES (Kenyan Shillings) unless stated otherwise
• Payments are processed securely — we do not store card details
• Refunds may be requested within 7 days of payment if the service was not rendered
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
• Failure to pay may result in downgrade to the free plan or account suspension

6. Intellectual Property

All content on ShieldIQ — including training materials, questions, UI designs, logos, and AI models — is owned by ShieldIQ / Glitch Factory FX and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission. You retain ownership of any data you upload or provide to the platform.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

ShieldIQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to maintain uptime and accuracy of training content, we do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Training will prevent all cybersecurity incidents
• All content is up to date with the latest threats at all times

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShieldIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, unless you request immediate deletion.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya. If you are using ShieldIQ from outside Kenya, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Continued use of ShieldIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
